The project team for Mont Rochelle was appointed by Sir Richard Branson to refurbish his Mont Rochelle Hotel and Mountain Vineyard Estate in the Cape Winelands. The property, which forms part of the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio of luxury hotels and retreats, is located in the historic town of Franchhoek, a one hour drive away from Cape Town. The brief called for a complete refurbishment of the existing 22-room hotel, winery and two restaurants, and included the addition of a new gym, spa and tennis court. Some of the buildings on the estate were of historic significance and had to be sensitively upgraded in keeping with Heritage guidelines. The project was published in the 2014 December issue of House & Leisure.
